The Legend
After Utena banished the Nameless One; splitting his powers, he was forced to live on Gun’Dulin. At the point in which he touched the earth, a location on Hesperia which later became the Chaos Temple, Utena stipped him of his remaining power, reverting him to a mere demon. The power that was taken away from him was locked inside a crystal, which was then hidden deep within the earth.
This crystal would not be known to Gun’Dulin’s populace until many years later; as the Draconian’s underground kingdom expanded. Not knowing of it’s evil origin, the Draconians considered finding the crystal a sign from the Acacians, and dutifully placed it in their best temple. It took only a day for the crystal to begin it’s work. It’s powers formed into a dark mist, which made its way through all of Drakonis. All the dark mist touched became corrupt and possessed, many Draconians either going insane or dying from it. A single, brave Draconian managed to wield his sword, and crack the crystal into nine pieces. Losing power, the crystal’s mist dissipated, but the effect of it remained for ages after.
Finding that they were unable to destroy the crystal, the dragon-people hid the crystal shards in nine separate places across Gun’Dulin, hoping that no one would find them and be affected by their evil.

The crystal became known as the Mistekalle (“Evil Mist”) crystal, and it’s shards each developed their own name. Solrah, Aikarin, Lacoah, Xantherio, Nokolore, Kuriso, Erebennus, Medsonio, and Nexis, as they came to be called. They soon became known as ‘Aeons’, a name given by the Draconians. Each shard also developed it’s own individual power and attribute, affected by the environment it was hidden in.
All of the Mistekalle’s shards remained hidden for quite some time; but as Gun’Dulin’s races began to explore and expand their territory, more and more began to be found…
As the crystal does when complete, each shard holds the capability of taking over it’s wielder. It is broken, however; so it’s negative effects take longer to complete. The negative effect is usually not noticed due to the positive effect it leaves; certain strengths, a boosted ability, powers expanded in a certain element.

Each Aeon moves from person to person, attracted by the energies of the other Aeons. They will continue to move, until one day… when the energies of the shard's meet; becomming one again.

The Aeons
The Aeon of Strife – Solrah
The Strife Aeon grants it’s master incredible amounts of magic power; as well as a small boost in physical power. It’s bearer will be able to use high-level spells with ease, and at a constant rate without ever growing weary; even if the person had never before cast a spell. However, Solrah will very slowly begin to take over it’s holder, and is the only Mistekalle shard that bears the capability of talking mentally to it’s master. Solrah will either eventually take over the victim with it’s influencing whispers, or drive him or her to complete insanity.

The Aeon of Fire – Aikarin
The Fire Aeon is attributed purely to the fire element, and will grant it’s master astonishing fire-based capabilities. Spells that would impress even the Fire Goddess herself are instantly learned, and the user becomes dangerously obsessed with fire; basically becoming a pyromaniac. Once the Aeon senses it’s master has grown strong and developed much energy in the fire element, it will absorb it all and then kill it’s master.

The Aeon of Water – Lacoah
Lacoah is the opposite-element shard of Aikarin; the Fire Aeon. Lacoah wields Water, and will grant it's master astonishing powers in this element. Like Aikarin, it will absorb all it's master's energy once their powers and skills in the water element have grown.

The Aeon of Thunder – Xantherio
Xantherio is the Thunder Aeon, and is basically the same as the other three main elemental Aeons; aside from the fact that it's attributed element is thunder. Granting it's master lightning-based skills, it waits until the time is right and it's master's energy in the lightning element is powerful; than absorbs it all.

The Aeon of Earth – Nokolore
Nokolore is Xantherio's opposite, being attributed to Earth. The same as Xantherio, Aikarin, and Lacoah; it will wait until the energy it grants its master has grown, and then absorbs it all to grow stronger.

The Aeon of Deceit – Kuriso
Kuriso is a powerful Aeon, simply because of what it does. The Deceit Aeon will cause it’s owner to be a master liar; anything he or she says will be easily believed, no matter how ridiculous. All who are around the holder of this Aeon become very easily attracted to him or her, and seem to instantly give their complete and total trust. The price is thus; Kuriso will begin to affect, even control your actions. Influencing you little by little, so not to drive you insane, Kuriso eventually takes complete control.

The Aeon of Destruction – Erebennus
The Destruction Aeon grants it's wielder a unique, somewhat unusual ability. That ability is... destruction. o.O Erebennus' gift is a set of powerful destruction spells, that it's master can use anytime and anywhere without even expending energy. Literally explosive techniques become available, and you can quite easily level a whole town. Like Medsonio, short temper is a dangerous, quickly developed side effect. You become easily PO'ed, and feel the sudden, growing, burning desire to just destroy whatever, or, whomever gets in your way. This Aeon, however, has yet to be found.

The Aeon of Power – Medsonio
Medsonio grants the ability it is named after; power. Sheer, immeasurable, god-like physical power. Anyone who owns this will be able to instantly have the strength of a thousand men, easily. Those who wield it, unfortunately, develop a really short temper, and look for a challenge in anything. The slightest thing can set them off, at which point they become completely controlled by the Aeon; turning into mindless monsters who will destroy anything and everything that is in the way. If they don’t get themselves killed with their daring folly and short-temper, then the Aeon eventually abandons it’s master, killing him or her instantly by absorbing their life energy.

The Aeon of Shadows – Nexis
The Shadow Aeon grants it’s holder astonishing mental capabilities; both intelligence and just sheer mind power. It’s holder will be able to use many mind-based ability with ease, and will have no trouble figuring things out. Longevity is another ability granted by this; the bearer ages, but never physically so. Whomever gets this shard will stay the same age as when they got it. Nexis bears a high price; however. It will cause you to become very ill; with a sickness that has no name or cure, until you die.
